Field Day

Graphic Design and Event Coordination
Point Reyes Station, CA
August 2023

Kira and I got married in August in Marin County. To control costs, I took on the majority of the event planning, coordination, and graphic design for our wedding.

Graphic design elements of the wedding included invitations, ceremony programs, a seating chart, dinner menus, place cards, table numbers which doubled as scorecards for after-dinner trivia, web design, thank you cards, and a custom travel guide booklet. I worked across multiple print media, including traditional offset printing, screen printing, and block printing. Since reading is a shared love of ours and of our friends, many of the printed media we included were designed to double as bookmarks.

With bicoastal family and friends, we wanted to prioritize our guests having as much fun as possible outdoors in a place which we chose for its proximity to a national seashore.
Tablescapes: Tables were organized in long, communal lines rather than typical islands.
Menus and programs were designed to double as bookmarks.
Different colorways delineate the cover of each spotify playlist we built for the evening’s activities.
We supplemented our collection of travel postcards with vintage postcards to use as a guestbook of sorts: guests were asked to write us a postcard.
